Terms of Service
Last updated 18 September 2026. These terms govern your use of the Bijnor Bazar app and marketplace. Please read them before placing an order.
Who you are contracting with
Bijnor Bazar is a marketplace operated by [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: registered business name], registered at [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: registered business address]. GSTIN: [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: platform GSTIN].
This is important and is not a formality: Bijnor Bazar is a marketplace, not the seller. Each product is listed and sold by an independent seller on the platform. When you place an order, you enter into a contract of sale with that seller, not with Bijnor Bazar. A single order may be split across several sellers, and each of those parts is a separate contract that is packed, dispatched and, if necessary, returned separately. Bijnor Bazar provides the platform, collects payment and coordinates delivery; the seller is responsible for the goods, their description, their quality and their compliance with the law.
Your account
You need an account to order. You must give accurate details, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that is used fraudulently or abusively.
Prices, GST and what you pay
- Prices are shown in Indian Rupees.
- Displayed product prices are exclusive of GST. GST is calculated on your basket and added as a separate line at checkout, at the rate configured for each item under Indian law. You can see the GST amount in the cart and on the order summary before you commit to paying, and it is included in the total you are asked to approve.
- Delivery charges are calculated from the PIN code of your delivery address and shown at checkout.
- Where Cash on Delivery is used, a handling fee applies and is shown as its own line in the order summary before you place the order.
- The total shown on the final checkout screen is what you pay. We do not add anything after that point.
- Prices and availability can change, and a listing can sell out between the moment you add it to the basket and the moment you check out. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, the seller may propose a substitution, which you can set to be applied automatically, offered to you to decide, or never offered, in your account preferences.
Payment
The payment methods available on this marketplace are:
- Cash on Delivery — you pay the delivery person in cash when the order arrives. A fixed handling fee of ₹49 applies to Cash on Delivery orders, shown before you order. Cash on Delivery is available only for delivery addresses in India, and is not available above an order value of ₹20,000. Please keep the amount ready; delivery personnel may not be able to give change for large notes.
- Bank transfer — you transfer the order total to the account shown at checkout and your order is dispatched once the payment has been verified. [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: bank account name, number, bank, branch and IFSC — these are not yet configured on the live system, so the bank transfer option currently shows no account to pay into]
Where online payment by card or UPI is enabled, it is processed by Razorpay. Your payment credentials are entered into Razorpay's interface and are never seen or stored by Bijnor Bazar.
Delivery
Delivery is made to the address you give at checkout. Delivery windows offered at checkout are the seller's and the delivery network's best estimate; they are not guaranteed times, and traffic, weather and stock can move them. We will tell you through the order's status in the app if your order is delayed.
Someone must be available at the address to receive the order. If nobody can be found, the delivery person will attempt to contact you on the phone number on the order. Undeliverable orders are returned to the seller.
Groceries include perishable and temperature-sensitive goods. Please check perishable items on arrival.
Cancellation
You can cancel an order from the app before it has been dispatched. Once an order has been picked up for delivery it can no longer be cancelled in the app, and you should instead refuse it at the door or raise a return.
Returns and refunds
- You have 7 days from delivery to raise a return on an item. This is the window the platform actually enforces: a return request on an item delivered more than 7 days ago will be refused by the system with a message saying the window has closed.
- Returns are raised per item, from the order in the Orders section of the app, and are handled by the seller of that item.
- Perishable, fresh and hygiene-sensitive groceries may not be returnable once accepted, except where they arrived damaged, spoiled, expired or incorrect. If something arrives in that condition, raise it as soon as you notice, with a photograph if you can.
- Where a return is approved, the refund is made back to the original payment method. For a Cash on Delivery order, refunds are made by the arrangement agreed with you when the return is approved, since there is no card to credit.
- Refund timing depends on the seller's inspection of the returned item and, for card and UPI payments, on your bank's own processing time, which is outside our control. We do not promise a fixed number of days that we cannot enforce.
Reviews
You may review products you have bought. Reviews must be your own honest experience. Do not post other people's personal information, unlawful content, or abuse. We may remove reviews that break these rules.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to interfere with its operation, to scrape or resell its content, to place fraudulent orders, or to harass sellers, delivery personnel or staff.
Liability
Because each sale is a contract with an individual seller, claims about the goods themselves lie against the seller. Bijnor Bazar is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, which are unaffected by anything written here.
Grievance redressal
Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, complaints may be addressed to our grievance officer: [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: grievance officer name, email and phone]. Complaints are acknowledged within forty-eight hours and we endeavour to resolve them within one month.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
Governing law
[CLIENT TO SUPPLY: governing jurisdiction and courts]
